Maribel 'Vhie, Bel" was born in Sta. Cruz, Marinduque on March 14, 1973. Her parents are Dionisio N. Caraan and Mauricia Privado Caraan (Dioning and Aden), by far the best parents a little girl could ever wish for. Her Tatay Dioning passed away November of 1993. Maribel was very close to her Tatay who was a hardworking school principal and a jolly person, he was a superb cook and a good story-teller of "magics and fantasies," such a one-in-a million Father!  Maribel adores and love him so much, and his thoughts and memories will forever be in her heart.  Her Nanay Aden is a retired teacher but has never retired being with little children,  this time with her apos.  She's a busy loving lola to all her grandchildren.  A very caring Nanay and lola who normally spoils all her apo, Nanay Aden travels California-Philippines just to take care of her most-loved grandchildren.

Maribel has three gorgeous sisters and a loving brother. His only brother Darwin is now living in California with his wife Rebecca and sons, Christian Diobert and Joseph. Her eldest sister Marie is living in Bicutan with her husband Virgilio and their two sons, Joseph Dionne and Marrione Virgil. Her Ate Mary Jean is staying in Sampaloc, but planning to move to Laguna early this year, together with husband Sunday and kids Sandra Mae and Ray Julius Dionne. Maricel, her youngest sister is living with her ate Jean and is single and available!

Maribel spent her childhood days in her hometown, Napo, Sta. Cruz, Marinduque and moved to Manila during her college days. She graduated from Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in the year 1995 with the Degree in Computer Engineering. She worked as a Technical Support Engineer for Fujitsu Philippines, January of 1996. In the year 2000, FSAS (Fujitsu Support Service, Inc) in Japan invited her to work for them as a Support Engineer. She's been working for the company for almost two years now and indeed enjoying her life in Japan.

Japan has been very good to Maribel, this is the place where she gained much self-esteem and strength, independence, friends, and a lot more.  And the most beautiful part of it, Japan gave her the man of her dreams...   the man of his life.. the man she is going to marry.. the love of her life... Wesner Almin Jr.

... and the rest is history...
